Music is the one language that we all understand!

Adelaide's musical heartbeat resonates around the world, bolstering South Australia's UNESCO City of Music distinction. This vibrant culture transcends genres, honors history, and reaches a worldwide audience.

Our goals for festivals and recordings are consistent: to inspire, create, inform, and offer a variety of world rhythms. We seek to arouse interest and admiration for global music.

Music unifies, develops understanding, and provides enjoyment. It speaks in a universal language, allowing people of many cultures to connect. Building on the success of WOMADelaide, World Music SA works tirelessly to infuse Adelaide with global sounds throughout the year, resulting in a continual celebration of musical diversity.

Encuentro: Meet. Taste. Celebrate is a vibrant multicultural evening that celebrates the rich flavours, traditions, and artistic expression of Latin America in South Australia.

Join us for a unique experience where wine, culture, music, and gastronomy come together to create a welcoming space for connection and celebration. The event features curated wine tastings showcasing three iconic grape varieties — Carmenere, Merlot, and Malbec — with featured selections from Gaston Bravo Wines and Lloyd Brothers.

To complement the tasting, a diverse selection of Latin American food and handcrafted goods will be available from local vendors. We are thrilled to confirm that My Food Bar and Antojitos Latinos will be on-site serving up delicious, authentic bites.

Throughout the night, guests will enjoy live music, cultural performances, and artistic showcases representing both traditional and contemporary Latin American culture. Our full performance line-up is being finalised and will be announced shortly!

Designed to be inclusive and community-focused, Encuentro invites people from all backgrounds to meet, taste, and celebrate without borders.
